Your Hair Is Worth a Thousand Words

For a while I had been debating whether or not I should get surgery for my hair loss. But if a picture is worth a thousand words, a few medical hair restoration pictures are worth a million.

For example, a great deal of post surgery hair simply falls out. Not permanently, but it goes through what is known as 'shock loss' which is the sudden expulsion of a number of your new hairs because they are not used to their current surroundings and your body temporarily rejects them. They will grow back, but not for several months after the surgery, meaning that you will have a great deal of bald patches as you await that day to come.

Also, there are a number of scabs and dried blood spots that are going to be on your head that you are told from the hair surgeon not to pick off, as these dried things can latch on to your hair and cause your hair follicles to get yanked out if you pick at it. If those sensitive hairs that have just recently been placed on your head get yanked out, the likelihood they grow back in that spot is slim to none.
